Given the week of weather we've had plus the promise of more wind and rain to come this weekend, I think we were pretty lucky this weekend to have such a calm day. Some, of course, were luckier than most and amongst the lucky today was one of our "luckiest" golfers (as per Lucky TonE definition that is) James Miller. On the seventh hole he hit a lovely draw (hook?) which came up just short of the green. He decided that a chip was the right way to go and proceeded to knife the ball hard enough to go through the green and into the rough, luckily though the ball bounced once and rocketed off the flag into the bottom of the hole. From certain bogey+ to birdie in less than a heartbeat. Compare that to my almost perfect tee shot on 3 which I managed to 3 put to go from birdie chance to bogey in more than a heartbeat, should've used my wedge rather than the putter perhaps!!

Birdies today for James and Jock, both on 7. Well done both.

Reasonable scores generally today with the average stableford a smidge above 30 and the gross at 93.6.

Our winner today with 38 points is Coenraad Fourie, Coenraad has had plenty of rest recently so was feeling up to a strong score. Well done Coenraad.

In second place today with 35 points is Martin Deery. Martin now identifies as the bridesmaid having come second this year 4 times and is keen to take Steve's veil! Well done Martin.

The front 9 went to James (Captain Hook) Miller with 17 points. Well done James.

The back 9 went to Lucky TonE with 19 points. Well done Tony.

Next swindle is on 17 December and only 3 more chances to post a score!

Have a great week all
