Finally, we're allowed indoors to meet with our friends and family, share food and drink and hug each other and then out comes the sunshine! We shouldn't complain, it's been a long time coming and looks like we have a bank holiday with good weather. We were short on numbers today with a few of our number opting to play in a match and some drop-outs.  We had the pleasure of Andy in our group today and he was sporting a new putter. It was so new that he still had the plastic cover on it. It's probably just as well as he was NOT the same Andy that turned up last Saturday.   Yes it's been great weather for ducks and the course was a little less than firm under foot today. Before we get to the golf this week a shout out for Chris who is in good spirits despite what he is going through. Best wishes from all of us Chris, we look forward to seeing you soon. On other matters the BJ B&B scandal this week has prompted me to come out and say that the extension on my house, the repairs to the driveway, the patio, the gazebo for the cooking area, the garden furniture and the pizza oven were sadly all paid for by me. Some would argue that as I was working in banking at the time of earning all the cash to pay for this that the money was stolen from the poor but that's an entirely separate scandal. I did of course explore ways in which others could pay for it but the crowd funding efforts netted £0.00 and my winnings in the swindle just didn't cover it. Perfect conditions for golf this week with very light winds and sunny spells. Not the blue skies promised by my weather app but no sign of rain. I personally experienced the worst round since lockdown and
