  As the LIV golf tournament reaches a climax at Centurions golf club, the more important tournament was kicking off at Aldwickbury Park, the Swindle Challenge. With clear skies, brisk winds and the course getting to it's summer worst in terms of rough and run, it was set to be a challenging day indeed.  Just 11 players managed to make the cut this year with a few late drop-outs due to illness and competing fixtures, the field was a little stretched. The pressure was seemingly just too much for Pete Laurence, Jock, Coenraad and James who posted sub 30 scores. Jock thankfully didn't count for the challenge as he challenges with another group but the others did help to bring the average score down somewhat. We finished 4th out of 8 teams with the ladies team being victorious.  The average score without Jock was 30.3 (92 gross) so not the most competitive showing, had James not played it could've been up at 31.33. Obviously struggling with luck today!  Only 1 birdie in the fie

  Contour Man, James Miller Well, the weather didn't look promising this morning with forecasts of heavy showers and strong winds. The winds were definitely a feature, especially on the back 9 today. The rain held off until the early early group got off the course with only one brief shower before the other groups teed off. Looks like the rest may've had a downpour at that point so finished the round in soggy fashion.  James Miller is the main feature of today's report. Firstly it is his birthday today and he'd joined the early group with Duncan so they could both get off and celebrate his birthday. Happy birthday James! Then there was the golf.... On the first tee James hit is ball roughly on the same line as Paul Gardner, out to the right. In Paul's case the ball came to rest about 15 yards off the fairway in the rough between the fairway and the trees. Of course James hits his ball quite a long way further than Paul so his ball went into the trees somewhere in th
