CALCULATED USING BEST 8 OF LAST 20 INDEX SCORES
Index score is used from score history - this is calculated by using the following calculation
(GrossScore - CourseRating) x (113 / Course Slope)
for APGC Whites = (GrossScore - 71.7) x (113 / 122)
for APGC Yellows = (GrossScore - 69.8) x (113 / 121)
The following table shows the last 20 Index Scores that are used in calculating each player's handicap index. This is essentially the same as is used for the official WGH index calculation EXCEPT that there are no adjustment for conditions on the day.
The "Scores Used" are found in the numbered columns (1-8) and the index (the average of these scores) is shown alongside the scores. The table to the right shows the last 20 scores and highlights the scores used in green just in case there is any confusion about what is used in the calculation.
Win adjustments are applied for 5 swindle games after the win and are applied as a cumulative adjustment. There is no reset of adjustments applied at year-end any more as the adjustments will naturally fall away as the games progress.
Update - You can now see the handicap that applied prior to your last game in the "Previous" columns. Red indicates your handicap is moving down, Blue indicates your handicap is moving up. You can also see the handicap win adjustments that apply and the most recent adjustment that has rolled off. Finally, I've added the score that is rolling off (week 21)
Hopefully these additions will help you to understand your changes in handicap which can be confusing as people can go up when they win and down if they lose depending on there score and whether previous win adjustments expire.
