Aldwickbury Park Early Birds

As the fires rage in Rhodes we distract ourselves with our favourite pass-time, swinging sticks at small white balls!  Rain was scheduled for 11am today and it came as promised for about 10 minutes but otherwise we had fair but somewhat windy conditions. Perhaps not the best for scoring but certainly pleasant for a 5mile walk. We had 10 players out there this week, enough to register as an official swindle albeit with meagre winnings on offer. Average scoring today was average with Gross up at 95.8 and stableford down at 29.4 with exactly half of the field either side of the average and a tight range of 8 points between 1st and last today.  Birdies were hard to come by today: Steve Brewerton (3) Richard Hyne (16) and Steve Reynolds (11) Well done all. Our winner today, Steve Brewerton, posted a gross round of 85 and managed 17 points out and in for 34 points. Well done Steve.
