The weather was colder than forecasted.  A bitter wind blew slightly Westward and I wished I’d put my Hatton. I was glad I’d had some hot Porridge in Harlington which was worth the Price.  Coenraad said it would warm up later and I thought, what a Retief I’m getting Goosebumps.  It’s gonna be a cold Day.

Martin arrived in shorts, a Strange choice I thought.  Your hair looks nice Martin.  Thanks, I’ve been washing it Daly.  Doesn’t that make it Fuzzy?  Na, I use the good stuff, you can’t put a price on the shampoo.  By contrast Richard was Bland.  Look he’s Donned old shoes.  What’s that?  Nothing, I’m only Joaquin.

On the tee I thought - I feel confident, I could succeed, I hope I don’t Faldo.  Then I hit A-lazy-ball rather than a Severe-Ball-on-steroids but I wish I’d hit it Langer.  Coenraad Tugged it in the Woods.  Then Martin teed up and I said come on, Seamus with your Power and he sliced into a nearby Horsfield.  I went to help Coenraad look for his second ball and he said I’m over here.  I know I can Si Woo.  Meanwhile Richard, the sly old Fox, was Pavin the way.  What a Player!  Martin chunked out of the woods and I thought he might get into a funk but he said I love the third shot.

Luckily, I was able to Canter into an early lead, helped by the GUR avoiding any Sandy Lie, which would have been a Payne.  I started to lose it a bit on the back nine. What the Els is going on I thought as I wondered Watson tv tonight, and even feeling a bit Woosie I didn’t Jack it in.

On a more serious note, here’s a roundup of today’s golf:

10 players finally made it eventually after numerous injury and illness forced dropouts.

There were 4 birdies, all on the back nine, me on 11, Steve B on 14, Andy on 16 and Coenraad on 17.  Well done birdie boys!

Scoring was on the lower side today with an average of 29 points probably due to the wind.  Peter Williams took the front 9 with 16 points on countback from Andy – well done Peter (I can hear a round of applause for that).  Steve B won the back 9 with 18 points – well done Steve!

Coenraad had a solid back 9 and came second with 32 points overall.  Well done Coenraad!  And in tradition for the person writing this to be able to talk about himself – I won! Yippee!! Look at me I’m the best! Whoop whoop!!! I’m fantastic, I love myself!! 😊
