A great day's golf today weather was warm with a strong wind at times. The course is again running fast as we have not had any rain for a while. The greens were much harder and faster today as the sand on them is slowly disappearing.

Nearly a full set of players today with 18 making the game, a profitable day to win.

We have the JJ Cup coming up at the end of the month which I am sure we are all looking forward to and hoping the weather will last. Previous years have been a mixed bag.

A great win for Jason today with 37 points narrowly beating Tony who had 36 points.

Reports from our people on the course today.

From Jason

"Martin D realised on the 3rd that he hadn’t charged his battery, he then showed battery power anxiety, just like an Electric Car drivers first long journey, as he tried to manage to get him all the way round and up the 16th!"F

From Tony

"Paul, I just hit 4 iron 274 yds down the 15th"

then later

"My drive on the 15th has to be headline….!! Especially as I parred the hole as well!!"

So I put it second headline

From Roger G

"I parred it as well. 340 yard drive BUT I’m not boasting"

Countered by Tony

"But I did it with a 4 iron….!! Plus I got a 4 for 4….!!"

From Paul

"The solar eclipse made me miss a 1 foot putt on 14"

A plethora of seven birdies today with Steve B taking two, well done Steve.

I myself hit a great 3 wood from 180yds out into the 18th to 10 feet but failed to make the birdie. When I hit it I thought it was a poor shot but it kept on going.

In my group James started with a great birdie on the first.
