Scores for JJ Cup Day 2 (Swindle) Saturday 26 April 2025
For Day 2 we once again had good weather. A late start at 12:30pm meant a lot of sitting around after breakfast.
Day 2 took us to the Signature Course a much easier course so the Course Rating suggested. That wasn't born out in our scores however. Day two was a normal Swindle day with cash prizes, so Swindle handicaps and no winners' adjustments. The leading score today was only 35 points. The top two from Day 1 now taking the bottom two places. What happened there!
Well done to Brian who took the honours with Martin Deery a close second.
On the hole that Dan Smith took the nearest the pin, he also found out that Luton had won and Tony was informed that he was a Grandfather again. Congratulations to you both.
Many commented that they actually preferred the Signature to Championship course.
Cash prizes were actually awarded this year unlike the two previous years. Well done to all the winners.

Quote of the weekend “I’ve always considered myself to be quite lucky…” Tony Froud at breakfast on day 2
From JJ Cup winner Roger Small, something I am sure we all agree with.
"What an amazing weekend! Thank you Andy and Paul for making it possible. Thank you James and Tony for your wonderful company on Championship Day. And special thanks to John for starting this weekend off 8 years ago. It's brought us all together even more as a group. Roll on to the Autumn Cup!"
We all enjoyed it so much I feel we are destined to return next year.
