Scores for Saturday 7th June 2025
Weather was predicted to be poor today with thunder storms expected, but despite one brief shower, we escaped the onslaught.
The course is being set up for the Clutch Tour which is visiting us next week, the green staff were out early cutting the greens and ironing them. They were certainly fast. I myself should have the nickname "Moped" as all I seemed to do was putt, putt, putt, putt putt, either leaving them short or way past the hole. I am sure I was not the only one struggling today as the Summer League scores were also quite low.
Roger Gibbs had a great score going over the front nine, struggled a bit on the back nine but managed to take the front 9. Jason also playing in my group, which started a 7:40, was also playing well. The three of us decided to hang on until the main groups came in as we felt both Roger and Jason had a chance to win. Unfortunately for them we saw Peter C and Tony surpass their scores, very close though, no doubt with some luck thrown in. Well done to Peter and Tony.
Only one birdie today and that was from Roger G, a great chip in from well off the green on the 7th.
Best gross of the day was from Jason Landau with 89.
There were 0 Eagles or better today.
There was 1 birdie today.
Roger Gibbs with 1 on hole 7.
Our winner today with 34 points was Peter Creighton.
In second place on 33 points was Tony Froud.
The front 9 went to Roger Gibbs with 19 points.
The back 9 went to Martin Deery with 16 points.
