First Swindle game since the end of November due to competitions and our Christmas Golf and Meal.

This was the penultimate game of the year and it did not get off to a great start with fog at the course causing a half hour delay. The early starters did not get off before 8am and resulted in Paul having to leave after the 14th or risk damage to important parts of his body, family do taking precedence. He played the 18th on the walk in and pared it, nobody there to see it, such a shame. On a positive note he didn't finish last although apparently Martin was feeling unwell but carried on to finish his round.

Excellent win by Roger G today, that's two in a row and two points clear of second place.

Not the highest of scores today with only four making 30 points or more. Conditions were difficult what with the early fog and the wet ground.

A few stories from the course today

Richard
"Roger not only played very well today. He was well behaved we had to wait until 18th. Before he  reverted to using swear words. Must be the festive season getting to him"

Martin
"Commented on Roger's phone and stuffing a Turkey"

The Player of the Year and Race to Debar only have one game left to play and only four players can win the POTY outright, Richard, Jason, Jock and Pete Laurence. James can tie if he wins the last game.

Richard, Jason, Pete Laurence and James can win the Race to Debar dependent on how many people play the last game.

James' lead of the Eclectic gross seems safe as he is four shots ahead and Roger Small is probably safe leading the Stableford by five shots.

The average gross score today was 93.06 and the average Stableford score was 26.59.

Best gross of the day was from James Miller with 83.

There were 0 Eagles or better today.

There were 2 birdies today.

Richard Hyne with 1 on hole 9.
Steve Reynolds with 1 on hole 12.

Our winner today with 34 points was Roger Gibbs.
In second place on 32 points was Coenraad Fourie.
The front 9 went to James Miller with 17 points.
The back 9 went to Jason Landau with 11 points.
